ReDock Web · Teams and permissions

A seat for the client that presses nothing.

Four roles, and the useful one is viewer: someone opens every site you give them, reads the health and the history, and cannot change a thing.

Roles

Owner, admin, member, viewer.

The owner holds the plan and is the only one who can change it. An admin runs the workspace. A member does the work. A viewer looks at every site and every record and has no button to press, which is exactly the seat you give the customer who wants to see that you are looking after them.

An invitation that has not been accepted yet still holds its seatEvery record says which role the person held when they did itRemoving somebody ends their access to every site in the workspace

Client groups

Sites, filed under the customer who pays for them.

A client group is the customer. Filter the site list by it, point a whole job at it, and write the month's report for it. A batch of new sites can join a group as it connects, so the filing happens once rather than site by site afterwards.

A group is a filter, a job target and the unit a report is written forA site can be renamed with a nickname only your workspace seesThe client's own viewer seat sees the group, not your other customers

Single sign-on

The sign-in your company already runs.

Connect Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, Okta or any OpenID Connect provider to a workspace. The owner proves the email domain with a DNS record, and once it is required, a password on that domain is refused and sent to the provider instead. A provider speaks for its own domain and no other.

Email and password, a sign-in link, Google and GitHub are the other ways inOnly the owner connects a provider, and only for a domain they provedA person outside the domain is refused, and told which domain it covers
